FAQ’s

Do your prices include the cost of freight?

Our quotes do not include any freight unless it is called out on the quote.  If you would like, we can arrange freight for you with one of our preferred carriers.

Can I drop off and pick up parts?

Yes, our office is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, Classic Coatings offers warranties against manufacturing defects.

How long does it take to turn my parts around?

Our standard lead time is 3-5 working days from when we receive the parts.  If we can get them out sooner, we will.  If there is a need for expedited service, please contact us to discuss the added charges for this service.

What temperatures will powder coatings withstand?

Some powder coatings will tolerate temperatures up to about 500° F.  There are a few powders that will go to 800° F. but they are limited to black.

What is “out gassing”?

Out gassing is the release of gasses that are trapped in the cast metal when the coated part is cured.  This leaves bubbles in the powder coated surface.  Classic Coatings will process all cast iron or aluminum parts to minimize out gassing.  The chances of out gassing are greatest in old aluminum or inexpensive castings.  Classic Coatings is not responsible for parts that out gas.

What are your Terms and Conditions?

Powder Coating Capabilities

Classic Coatings has four powder coating lines. Our continuous lines can process medium to large parts that range in size from 1″ square to parts as large as 34″ x 60″ x 110″. Our two batch lines are setup for short runs and for large parts. Parts as large as 8′ high x 10 ‘ wide x 20’ long can be successfully coated on these two lines.

Metal Finishes

Our metal finishes are Powder Coated Tough®. This protective finish is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is sprayed onto your product surface. The electrically charged powder adheres to the grounded surfaces. The part is then heated in an oven which fuses the powder coating into a smooth, durable, high-quality finish.
