Our talented staff of technicians take pride in their work, utilizing their years of experience to benefit you, our customer. Classic Coatings coats parts for Harley-Davidson, John Deere, Mercury Marine and Caterpillar. We also work with smaller companies who manufacture their own products which need industrial coating applications.
Classic Coatings can provide a wide range of coating options to protect your parts from corrosion and to enhance the appearance and performance of your parts. One of our most popular coatings is Powder Coating. Powder coating, sometimes referred to as “dry paint” is an environmentally-friendly coating material which is “baked” onto metal. Replacing the “wet painting” of the past, Powder Coating is applied to raw metal parts made of aluminum, steel or cast iron. We offer a full range of powder chemistries and textures. We inventory hundreds of powders to be able to offer you a standard 3- to 5-day turnaround on most orders.
Gema Magic Cylinder Automatic Spray Booth
Classic Coatings is committed to continuously updating our powder application equipment. Our Two Rivers plant has a state of the art Gema Magic Cylinder automatic spray booth. This booth has 10 automatic guns and 4 manual guns. It also is a reclaim booth to optimize on our powder usage so that we can meet or beat the competition on pricing for long run orders.
Classic Coatings has developed a strong network of custom industrial metal fabricating job shops through working relationships. By communicating daily, this network allows us to offer the most competitive pricing along with unmatched service and quality. Classic Coatings can maximize your dollar by utilizing the existing transportation and locating the best suited equipment without paying for high overhead. We are able to run parts ranging from small aluminum brackets to large steel weldments. Quantities of a few pieces to runs in the thousands are not an issue. Classic Coatings has the capabilities to remove that problematic laser scale from thick steel parts so that the paint will adhere to the cut edges.
The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) currently represents the North American powder coating industry, promotes powder coating technology and communicates the benefits of powder coating to manufacturers, consumers, and government.
The Chemical Coaters Association International is a technical and professional organization that provides information and training on surface coating technologies. CCAI works to raise the standards of finishing operations through educational meetings and seminars, training manuals, certification programs, and outreach programs with colleges and universities.

New Washer In Sheboygan
The installation of the new PEM washer in Sheboygan is now complete. We finally retired the old three stage washer that was built in 1978 and replaced it with a new state of the art five stage washer built by PEM Industries out of Minnesota. This new washer is an L shaped design that allows us to fit it in the small building in Sheboygan and keep the same part window as the old washer. The installation was scheduled to shut down the plant for 5 production days. We did not hit this deadline but we were able to get back running on day 6. In addition to the new washer, we retrofitted a new control panel to control the ovens. This kept all of us very busy. Altogether this was about a $300,000 project.
With this new washer now operational, the Sheboygan plant is running the same nano-technology chemistry that is run in Two Rivers. It now lets us share work between plants better because we are running the same wash chemistry that has proven successful and is approved by many of our customers. Thank you to everyone for their help getting this project completed.
